“Mankatha” is an Indian crime thriller starring Ajith as the lead. Pawan Kumar, director of the cult favorite "Peepli Live" and his debut film "Udta Punjab."The movie is a remake of Roland Emmerich's German film “Stirb Langsam 2: Schnell und Schmerzlos” and stars Ajith as a Mumbai-based underworld gangster who aims to go straight after he falls in love with Jennifer (Sonakshi Sinha). Produced by Sai Korrapati under his banner, Korrapati Films and it is co-produced by Narendra Bajaj, Sunil Lulla and Ajaz Khan under the banner of 3K Films. The film is written and directed by Ravi Babu and it stars Ajith, Sonakshi Sinha, Prakash Raj, Parvathy Nair and Vivek. The soundtrack album was composed by Anirudh Ravichander.The film’s release was stalled with the censor boards of India and the United Kingdom refusing to clear it. Mankatha (2018) movie is a Hindi-Tamil bilingual movie starring Ajith Deva as a villager who gets into mafia as a driver for underworld boss played by Sonakshi Sinha. It has been said that the Hindi version will be titled as ‘Keep Walking’. This movie has created huge craze among movie-buffs worldwide predicting its big release. It was known that the Tamil version will be dubbed for Hindi and dubbed versions of Telugu and Kannada will be released in 2018 itself. The movie was announced to be a remake of the German film, "Stirb Langsam 2: Schnell und Schmerzlos" starring actors Patrick Kilian and Thomas Kretschmann. However, the movie was finally released as a Tamil-Hindi bilingual film titled as ‘Mankatha’.Director Ravi Babu has previously worked with Ajith in his directorial debut "Peepli Live", which was a box office hit raking in Rs 5 Crores at the box office within five days of its release.
